Improve Public Engagement in Township Matters

The importance of public engagement has been undervalued and overlooked. Peter proposes to: 

• Hold regularly scheduled, open-agenda Town Hall meetings to allow residents, cottage associations, rate payer’s associations, and other interested groups informal access to members of council and senior staff

• Reinstate Budget Advisory Committee to engage constituents in budget preparation

• Undertake a review of Township financial reporting to ensure timely and useful data is available to taxpayers
